Job Description:

First Eagle Alternative Credit (“FEAC”) is seeking an Investor Relations Analyst/Associate for its Chicago office. This individual will report into Business Development and support public and private client management, strategic partnerships, and business development activities. This includes helping in the management of investor relationships, presentations, performance attribution, and reporting for FEAC’s various public and private vehicles.  The IR Analyst/Associate will produce, maintain, and ensure the consistency and accuracy of marketing materials. They will also assist with responding to requests for information and due diligence questionnaires from current and prospective investors. 

In addition to the above, this person will be the Investor Relations team’s Chicago representative and have responsibility for engaging with and sharing insights from the investment professionals located in the Chicago office.  This person will be asked to participate in the investment dialogue to help the team stay well-informed on the investment team’s current views.  This is an excellent opportunity for a high-energy individual seeking to gain experience in marketing and investor relations in the financial services industry while also engaging with the firm’s senior investment team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete fund level analytics, benchmarking and other data requests as needed

  • Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting and portfolio update materials

  • Assist business development team in tracking and completing fundraising questionnaires and related diligence requests

  • “Own the message” – produce and maintain all FEAC marketing materials for fundraising and LP relations (pitch books, due diligence questionnaires, annual meeting presentations), including supportive quantitative analysis

  • Assist team in preparation of key materials for diligence meetings with strategic investors

  • Collaborate internally with finance, operations, and legal & compliance to ensure consistency and accuracy of information across various work products


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, marketing, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services/investment management

  • Comfortable with maintaining and manipulating large amounts of data in excel

  • Strong working knowledge of corporate finance

  • Critical thinker, with keen attention to detail

  • Ability to triage multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing and/or competing priorities

  • Advanced proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel

  • High energy, motivated self-starter, able to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts

  • Structured Credit, Bank Loan, Direct Lending background a plus

  • Past investor relations, marketing, or client relationship management experience a plus

  • Previous experience with Salesforce a plus
